Bachelor of Science in Engineering

The Environmental Protection is an interdisciplinary field of study, which combines training in the natural sciences with knowledge of management, economics, engineering, agricultural, forestry sciences and law. It prepares professionals skilled at programming, organising and controlling in the field of environmental protection at local, regional and national level.

The specialists are most wanted now in the following fields: renewable energy sources, waste water management, implementation of modern residual waste management system, and improvement of logistic processes of environmental protection, natural expertise, environmental impact reports, and programs of sustainable development for regions, districts and communities.

Within this field of study we offer the following specialisations:

RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES, WATER AND WASTE MANAGEMENT

While studying Renewable energy sources, water and waste management, you will reach the knowledge, skills and social competence letting you analyse technical, locational, environmental, economic and legal considerations in the use of renewable energy sources (biofuel, solar energy, wind power, geothermal energy etc.), water protection, water & wastewater management, but also use and waste disposal. Due to such created and complementary competence you will become a needed specialist in a dynamically changing labour market.

BIOSPHERE PROTECTION

It prepares specialists with engineering and management competences in the field of: inventory and valorisation of natural resources, natural expertise, environmental impact reports, sustainable development programs of the regions, districts and communities; planning and management of Nature 2000 areas and other forms of environmental protection, environmental monitoring, implementation of normative environmental management systems; assessment of economic efficiency of the projects regarding environmental protection, planning out the activities in the field of landscaping and development of the areas of high nature values.

Master of Science in Engineering

The Master Studies on the faculty of Environmental Protection enable to acquire extended, well-established and organised, advanced skills; training and acquisition of deepen engineering and social competences, allowing for independent, creative and ethic execution of professional responsibilities in the scope of environmental protection management at the regional, national and global level including customised situations. Our goal is to prepare students for impartial environmental assessment, forecasting changes, choosing economic and social mechanisms and planning actions improving current situation.
